Weekend in Warsaw

Details:

    1° day ARRIVAL

    Arrival in Warsaw, meeting with a tour leader, transfer from the airport to the hotel in Warsaw, check-in, dinner.

    2° day ŁAZIENKI PARK - KRAKOWSKIE PRZEDMIEŚCIE - OLD TOWN

    We start our visit from the Łazienki Park, the largest park in Warsaw with its Palace on the Water, Theater on the Isle, The Old Orangery and others. It took the name Łazienki ("Baths") from a bathing pavilion that was located there.Then we see Belweder, where the president of Poland resides. A dinner-break.

    After that we go along the Krakowskie Przedmieście Street, which is one of the best known and most prestigious streets of Poland's capital, surrounded by historic palaces, churches and manor-houses and with some of the most notable institutions in Warsaw, including the Presidential Palace, Warsaw University, and the Polish Academy of Sciences headquartered in the Staszic Palace.The street leads us to the Old Town. The heart of the area is the Old Town Market Place, rich in restaurants, cafés and shops. Surrounding streets feature medieval architecture such as the city walls, the Barbican and St. John's Cathedral. Come back to the hotel. Overnight.

    3° day WILANÓW PALACE - NATIONAL STADIUM - POWĄZKI CEMETERY

    After the breakfast we go to historic Wilanów Palace, the "Polish Versailles," and second home to various Polish kings. The Wilanów residence is composed of the palace, its decorations and works of art, gardens and sculptures located in the park and also numerous buildings and monuments raised in the location since 1677. We see all of them. A dinner-break.

    In the afternoon we visit the National Stadium. It is used mostly for football matches and it is the home stadium of Poland national football team. We will have a chance to feel like a sports fan by checking the amazing acoustics of the stadium and even see the locker room where Cristiano Ronaldo or Robert Lewandowski prepared for European Cup games.

    Then we go to Powązki Cemetery. It is a historic, most famous cemetery in the city, and one of the oldest. Found here are the graves of many illustrious individuals from Polish history, including those interred along the "Avenue of Notables" established in 1925.

    4° day DEPARTURE

    After the breakfast, transfer to the airport, departure.
